Wystawa prezentuje kilkadziesiąt szkiców wykonanych w Polsce i Turcji – w trzech miastach, które, choć pozornie różne, łączy wspólne doświadczenie miejsca: Piaseczno, Istambuł i Alanya. To nie tylko zapis architektury, lecz także próba uchwycenia sposobu, w jaki przestrzeń mówi – czasem szeptem, czasem echem przeszłości.
Każdy szkic to mikroskop czasu: linia staje się narzędziem poznania, a papier — pamięcią. W dobie wszechobecnych obrazów cyfrowych ręczny rysunek jest aktem oporu wobec pośpiechu. Przypomina, że widzenie to nie tylko patrzenie, lecz także zrozumienie.
W tych pracach nie chodzi o perfekcję. Chodzi o uważność, o chwilę, gdy architektura zaczyna oddychać w rytmie ręki, a człowiek staje się częścią pejzażu. To podróż po detalach, które z pozoru nic nie znaczą, a w istocie tworzą tkankę miejsca – jego pamięć, tożsamość i rytm trwania.
Szkicowanie – czy to przez studenta, czy przez amatora – staje się tu metodą myślenia. Uczy obserwacji, cierpliwości i empatii wobec przestrzeni. Bo parafrazując Lema: każde poznanie zaczyna się od błędu w rysunku rzeczywistości.

Piotr Kalbarczyk – inżynier architekt, urbanista i rysownik. Wykładowca Akademii Techniczno-Artystycznej w Warszawie, prowadzi warsztaty rysunku architektonicznego w Polsce i za granicą – m.in. w Turcji (İstanbul Kültür University, Alanya University). Absolwent Politechniki Warszawskiej i Szkoły Głównej Handlowej w Warszawie.
W swoich szkicach łączy analizę przestrzeni z refleksją nad ulotnością chwili. Uważa, że rysowanie to nie tylko technika, lecz także akt poznania – sposób rozmowy z miejscem i samym sobą. Jego prace powstają w drodze: w Piasecznie, Stambule, Alanyi – tam, gdzie architektura staje się opowieścią, a linia zastępuje słowa.

“Regional Identity in the Architecture of Piaseczno, Istanbul and Alanya”
The exhibition presents several dozen sketches created in Poland and Turkey – in three cities which, though different, share a common experience of place: Piaseczno, Istanbul, and Alanya.
These are not mere architectural depictions but attempts to capture how space speaks – sometimes in whispers, sometimes in echoes of the past.
Each sketch is a microscope of time: the line becomes a tool of understanding, and paper – a vessel of memory. In an age of endless digital images, a hand-drawn line becomes an act of resistance to haste. It reminds us that seeing is not the same as understanding.
These works are not about perfection, but about attentiveness – the moment when architecture breathes in rhythm with the human hand. It’s a journey through details that may seem insignificant but form the very fabric of a place – its memory, identity, and continuity.
Sketching – whether by a student or an amateur – becomes a form of thinking. It teaches observation, patience, and empathy toward space. To paraphrase Lem: all knowledge begins with an error in the drawing of reality.

Piotr Kalbarczyk – architectural engineer, urban planner, and sketch artist. Lecturer at the University of Technology and Arts in Warsaw, he conducts architectural sketching workshops in Poland and abroad – including at İstanbul Kültür University and Alanya University in Turkey. Graduate of Warsaw University of Technology and the Warsaw School of Economics.
In his sketches, he combines spatial analysis with reflection on the fleeting nature of time. He believes that drawing is not just a technique, but an act of understanding – a dialogue with place and with oneself. His works are created on the move – in Piaseczno, Istanbul, and Alanya – where architecture becomes a story, and the line replaces words.
